There’s no need to “shop ‘til you drop,” but there are places on the Coast in which you can actually shop all day long, take care of your gift ideas, home necessities, munch a lunch, enjoy entertainment, see a movie, even have your oil changed.

Pleasant amenities and conveniences make Coast malls the perfect place to spend all day spotting bargains and having fun — and you can bring the whole family and stay all day. Singing River Mall in Gautier serves southeast Mississippi.

Mall manager Ginger Guidry says a shopper’s delight awaits all visitors to the conglomerate of style stores and bargain shops — 50 in all — that line spacious and wheel accessible pedestrian walkways with direct connections to six food shops, a bank, the Ritz Theater, and, of course, bargains galore.

The shopper may wish to work in a schedule that will match the special events at Singing River — from carolers, to blood drives, to dance recitals. Check with the mall manager for events scheduled during your visit. There’s plenty of parking and even a bank if you wish more bargain money.

Drive U.S.90 through Gautier until you see the sign.

For the central Gulf and South Mississippi shoppers, Prime Outlets with 63 shops, is ready, willing and able to accommodate the all-day shopper.

Rhonda Roberts, Prime Outlets marketing director, said the number of Outlet bargains is “unbelievable.” She advises, “Be sure and bring the kiddies” as the styles and new items in the children’s shops seems unlimited.

Both malls feature everything from books and bath fragrances to baseball caps and BVDs. Plus, there are a good 50,000 other items among them you will need all year long.

Prime outlets offers wheelchairs and free strollers. The center offers two restaurants and a coffee shop for intermittent snacks.
